A party of over sixty players, parents and coaches set off in four minibuses from Dorchester Rugby Club early one January morning. With just a brief stop en route we arrived at our host club in High Wycombe in time for the players to benefit from some excellent coaching from the Wasps Community Team.

All players responded really well to some new drills and exercises whilst the onlookers attempted to keep warm on a chilly day. Once the session was over there was just time for a hot-dog before setting off for Adams Park.

We arrived in time to soak up the atmosphere and for some of the party to get roped into the filming for ITV 4's Rugby highlights programme. Once inside the ground and seated we enjoyed a keenly fought match involving numerous international players.

With seconds to go for a French victory the Wasps winger David Lemi chased and fell on a well timed kick to secure a fantastic win for the home side. This really excited the crowd and spurred us on in the hunt for a few autographs and photographs as the ground emptied.

The group left High Wycomb having enjoyed some excellent Rugby and a stop-off at McDonalds on the way home appeared to be a popular move.

Many thanks to all those who did the organising and also to the drivers for making this a really great club day out.
