DORCHESTER have now gone six weeks without a win following their latest defeat at the hands of Wimborne at Coburg Road.
The county town outfit did manage to score 12, their highest points tally for a month, unfortunately though, they couldn't stop the visitors racking up 31 to take the all-important two points in Southern Counties South.
Coach Chris Burton said: "We are improving aspects of our game every week, but we didn't help ourselves on Saturday by giving away two tries because of poor tackling.
"I was happier with the performance and I remain convinced that we can turn things around because the spirit in the squad is vastly improving, we just need to be more clinical at times."
Dorchester lost George Damen early on and soon found themselves behind. John Firkin scored the home side's first try when he touched down following a well-read interception on the halfway line. Firkin then kicked over the conversion.
The visitors began to take control and increased their advantage further until, in the last few minutes, James Spensley crossed the whitewash to score an unconverted try and bring the final score to 31-12 in Wimborne's favour.
Devizes still remain rooted to the foot of the table without a single point to their name, but Burton's side sit precariously above them with just one win from nine.
